"The Wrestler" involves the resurrection of the "lover excesses Mickey Rourke. I will not mislead, Rourke never take it too seriously as an actor, I think even he was taken seriously or her career or her person. But a few years ago I was pleased with his portrayal of Marv in "Sin City" and now I definitely won this film which should get the Oscar.
went to the cinema a little "fly" at having to leave the "Almond Madrid" to see it, after being released just over two weeks. But do not let me down, unlike most of those attending the screening, I knew what was going to see and, as this post title, the portrait of a loser, without artifice or fuss. Rourke makes the character believable and even more so if you know a little of his life. He plays an old and decadent wrestling legend, Randy "The Ram", which now makes a living in the regional leagues competing in seedy gyms getting everything he can get p'al body to relieve pain for physical pain inside because you are not able to get the cure. Accompanies him around the loneliness absolute, but is clinging to a daughter she abandoned at a Kid playing with the "nintendo" to video games when Cassady was a star and a stripper for any past was better. It is worth mentioning here too the magnificent performance of the sensual Marisa Tomei in this paper.
Try to leave wrestling when his body says stop, but in this underworld is a respected person, an idol out there is a vulnerable person with tired eyes and a sonotone, which dispatches bologna and salads at a deli orders a disrespectful boss, who has a daughter who can not recover, unable to conquer Cassady. That is the true pain "The Ram" and not the tricks and trick shots to get in the ring.
Ultimately "The Wrestler" and "The Wrestler" if you prefer, shows the decline clean of dust and straw and hell on earth through the eyes and face worn by Mickey Rourke impressive, superbly directed by Darren Aronofsky. If you dare to go see it, enjoy it.
